Lusona has so many different meanings. Photography is our dream and our passion. We consider ourselves so lucky to be doing something we truly love and enjoy, so careful thought went into naming our business.

Our family’s background and heritage is mostly Italian. Family, to us, is most important. Being able to capture your family in our photography is our honor, because we know the importance of family memories. The Italian word for light is Luce. Of course, light is the most important part of any photograph. The Latin word una or ona means; in one, together. We found this to fit perfect with our values in family and passion for photography. Light and togetherness = Lusona!

Some information we came across was also very instrumental in naming our dream. It was the word Lusona. Thinking we came up with this original name… we were mistaken. Sona, is a type of sand line drawing. Its a drawing that never follows the same path twice. These dot & line drawing were used in cultures for story telling and to pass from generation to generation. They are beautiful, decorative artworks. Also with mathematical symmetry and pattern. After learning this, the name Lusona Photography has great meaning, and our photography is not only reflective in the product that’s created but, also in the name as well.
